Khave and the Well

In early 20th century Ukraine, a young shtetl girl wanders into a snowy forest to retrieve her friend's coat from a strange and crumbling well. When she encounters the lonely spirit tied to the well she will be launched on a journey to face the mingling of old magic and new human horrors over the course of a single nightmarish and mystical night. Inspired by both an interest in folk tales and her own family's history as Jewish immigrants from 1900s Ukraine, "Khave and the Well" is Jessica Soffian's debut comic.
